Okay, I just had to write a review so everyone would know what's going on. After trying 3 different sets of pegs, this will be helpful. The silver ones have a bigger whole and fit a 14mm axle, the black ones fit a 3/8" (smaller) axle. The description doesn't say, but after looking these up on a different website, I found out that they were different. We bought the silver 1st and they were way to big, then I ordered the black ones after measuring my son's Diamond back viper and they fit just right. So measure the axle size first and then order the pair that will fit your bike. THE SILVER 14mm BIGGER, BLACK 3/8" SMALLER. I was about to return his bike and just buy one with pegs, because I was getting so frustrated. Hope that will help someone.

My two boys wanted new bikes that had foot pegs. They didn't need new bikes yet. I ordered the ventura steel axle pegs in silver from Amazon (My favorite place to shop). They were shipped quickly. I had them put on their bikes in only minutes. Very simple to install and love the grip on the pegs. You would have thought they had brand new bikes, but so much cheaper. All the neighborhood kids wanted them on their bikes too. Thanks

I knew when buying these they would be too long, the grips on my sons bike are so short and I cannot find a replacement. But I didn't want the flange on the end of these anyway, so I cut them down to the length I needed and they look great. They went on easy with some soapy water and when dry, don't move a bit. The end caps expand with a screw and will help hold them in place over time.

We have been trying to find grips that allow my granddaughter to insert her "pom-pom" streamers in the hole in the end and these don't allow that either. Theses will sit on a shelf until needed in the future.

A little heavier than what I'd usually use, but has great grip postings that won't hurt your feet or tear your shoes apart. My last cheap resin pedals ripped to shreds from stress, so I opted for a sturdy pedal that won't risk doing the same thing. These were picture perfect replacements, nice and wide to match, as I have a foot that's larger than most (Size 16) and other small pedals cause my clumsy feet to slip around. All in all, a recommended purchase for any pavement pounder. A+

Got these for my mountain bike which I use mostly as a commuter in a city with rough roads. I like the look, the feel, and the little pokey grips(even though I had to learn to watch out for them because they scratch good). They didn't last 2 years though. One started rocking and clicking, and right that I was going on a long ride that required reliable transportation, so I just bought new pedals instead of trying to figure out the problem. Now they have become parts.

I do recreational cycling and my BMX riding son recommended that I purchase these because he has used them and liked them. The last pair I bought on Amazon for about the price I paid for this one so I jumped at the chance to put them on my new bike. The little set screws will hold just about any shoe in place and they are very sturdy, free wheeling pedals. Along with that they are wider than most standard pedals and I find them more comfortable on extended runs. The only negative I have, and I don't fault the product for it, is that I only received one and it surprised me because I paid the same amount for two last year. Make sure you know your bolt size - half inch or 9/16ths before you order. If you don't know, pull one and match it up to a replacement at your local discount store.
