The exact same chain as a Shimano, but THIS one comes with a reusable connecting link. No, I have never had one of these links fail, although I have had one of Shimano's press in pin connections fail. The chain is proving to be quite durable, and should last many miles. I only have about 1000 miles on it so far on a touring bike, but it has shown NO wear yet on my chain wear gauge. The previous does not review the chain but what comes now will. This chain is the exact replacement of the one that came with my bicycle when I got it new more than 1 year ago. I have ridden more than 500 miles with it and still is in perfect condition. It is very light weight because the links AND de pins are hollow, features that does not make it weak. I advise you the following though, avoid as much as possible to change gears (sprokets) when torquing uphill. |
